Why You Need a Business FB Page

Facebook and Social Media for your Business

Many small businesses utilize their personal Facebook page to market their services and/or products. While this is a great way to get your business in front of your friends, it is also a great way to lose customers.

We tend to share a lot of personal things on Facebook. Whether that be recent vacations, political views, life gripes, vents, work frustrations, new cars, health issues, exciting news, etc. While to our friends, this is just another line of communication, our customers and clients can make a snap judgment and decide to not utilize your services any longer based on something you post from your personal life.

This is not to say you shouldn’t have any customers as friends, it just means you need to market your business separate from your personal life.

Sharing a FB Business Page post to your personal profile page.

The way we recommend getting your business out there is creating a Business FB Page, so customers can follow you there, and then sharing any content you post on that page with your friends separately (this will also help to get your friends to like the page as well). See the image to the right as an example of what we mean.

Facebook Business Pages are also easier to find (and follow) for your customers!

When making posts for your business, always consider if the post is something your customers should be seeing (keep it professional!). Your posts don’t always have to be selling something, they can include helpful tips, fun photos or videos, and a variety of things that your clients might find useful or helpful!

If you need help setting up a Facebook Page, or any other social media account; we’d be happy to help!
